Why you should do a driving School?

Well, you've probably spent a lot of time and money improving the performance of your car, but what have you done to improve the performance of the driver? 90% of people surveyed in the mid-nineties perceived their own driving ability to be above average. A study by various motoring groups found that these same drivers were actually poorly skilled drivers. So everyone is an expert driver but everybody else is a buffoon?

In reality we all can learn more about driving. Even Michael Schumacher learns more every time he races. The fact is, we never stop learning. We keep learning and we sharpen and refine our skills. BMW Australia driving schools allow you to do this in a controlled environment with an experienced instructor in your car.

The car control skills you will learn and the knowledge of vehicle dynamics that you will gain are directly transferable to street driving. The manner in which your car skids at slow speeds in the rain or snow is exactly the same as it breaks loose at higher speeds on a skid pad or track. The way you threshold brake on the track is the same as you'd threshold brake on the highway when you discover that all traffic in front of you has suddenly stopped. The slalom- maneuver at speed is the same as the one you'd use to suddenly avoid an object in the road. But when do we ever practice these skills? Never. We practice these maneuvers when they happen to us, or after we're neck deep and too fast in a corner to do anything about it--and usually we fail.
