Important Note: Alpina Bavarian Motorsport Production BMWs in Australia, since 1984, have been and are built /produced using only BMW Australia's Imported fleet of Right Hand Drive standard Australian Compliance plated BMWs.

LHD BMWs are not possible in Australia and thus Alpina Bavarian Motorsport RHD production chassis numbers are not related to ALPINA Gmbh's production fleet.

Genuine ALPINA Gmbh parts have been fitted to BMW Australia imported RHD chassis BMWs only. BMW Australia is the only authorised avenue for the import of any new ALPINA Gmbh RHD production BMW, which at the moment is not happening.

Genuine ALPINA Gmbh Production Chassis vehicles have been and are built /produced using only Left Hand Drive German Compliance Plated factory new BMWs. As of 1997 ALPINA Gmbh had started to build/produce Right Hand Drive production ALPINA vehicles for the United Kingdom Market.
